Diamonds Earrings

The Mermaid Cuff Earring works a crown-like pattern encrusted with white diamonds along a gold ear cuff, on approx. 1.50 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

The pattern is pierced and shaped rather than flat, so the cuff carries relief as well as stone — at 0.23 ct the gold work does as much as the diamonds. An ear cuff wraps the edge of the ear rather than passing through a piercing.

The Diamond Wave Ear Cuff sets white diamonds in a wave along a gold ear cuff, on approx. 1.4 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

Fully encrusted along the wave at 0.24 ct, where the Waves Cuff Earring sets only half its band at 0.12 ct on 1.70 g — so this is the brighter of the two wave cuffs on less gold. An ear cuff wraps the edge of the ear rather than passing through a piercing.

The Wisteria Baby Stud Earrings set a small diamond flower, on approx. 0.90 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark) per single earring, in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

Scaled for a child's ear — at 0.90 g there is nothing heavy pulling on the lobe, and the flower sits flush rather than standing clear of it. Note the figures are for a single earring.

The Victory Ear Cuff sets precious stones along a gold ear cuff, on approx. 1.40 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

The coloured-stone version of the Victory Diamond Ear Cuff, which carries 0.24 ct of diamond on the same 1.40 g of gold. Here 0.28 ct of precious stone takes the place of the diamonds, so the same form reads in colour rather than in white.

The Paladin Hoop Earrings are diamond-set gold hoops, on approx. 5.99 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

At 5.99 g of gold against 0.38 ct of diamond, the metal leads and the stones accent it — close in balance to the Rich & Bold Queen hoops at 5.5 g and 0.30 ct, and the opposite of the Large Verona, which puts 1.36 ct on 7.0 g.

The Sintra Hoop Earrings hang a round amber stone with a diamond from a diamond-encrusted gold hoop, on approx. 2.40 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

At 4.84 ct of amber against 0.42 ct of diamond, the stone carries more than ten times the carat weight of the diamonds — and on only 2.40 g of gold, so the amber is unmistakably the subject. Amber is warm and translucent rather than brilliant, which is why the diamond hoop above it is set to supply the sparkle.

The Peaks Hoop Earrings hang a diamond-encrusted inverted triangle from a gold hoop, sold as a pair, on approx. 3.82 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

The triangle points downward from the hoop rather than sitting inside it, so the piece draws a line below the lobe. At 3.82 g of gold against 0.20 ct the metal leads and the diamonds mark the point of the triangle.

The Java Hoop Earrings hang a pear-shaped precious stone with a diamond solitaire from a diamond-encrusted gold hoop, on approx. 3.0 g of solid 18K gold (750 hallmark), in yellow, rose or white gold, with a certificate of authenticity.

Three elements in one earring: the set hoop, a diamond solitaire and a coloured pear drop. At 0.80 ct of stone against 0.54 ct of diamond the colour leads, but by a narrower margin than on the Sintra hoops, where 4.84 ct of amber overwhelms the diamonds entirely.
