Signet Rings

Signet Rings in Solid 18K Gold

A signet is the oldest form of ring there is: a broad flat face on a solid band, made to carry a seal, a crest or a set of initials. Ours are cast in solid 18K gold (750 hallmark) in our own Dubai atelier, plain and unset so the face stays the point, in yellow, white or rose gold and in every size from US 4 to US 13 (EU 47 to 70). Each ring ships with its certificate of authenticity, free insured express shipping worldwide and a five-year warranty.

Gold signet rings for men

Five faces, five weights. The Aristocrat and Majestic carry 5.10 g of gold ($1,800), the Imperial 5.50 g ($1,942) and the Regal, with the largest face, 5.60 g ($1,981). Worn on the little finger in the traditional way or on the ring finger as a plain band, the weight is what you feel: these are solid gold throughout, not hollow.

Engraved signet rings

Every plain signet can be engraved with one to three initials, a monogram or a date on the flat face; add the engraving at checkout and the atelier hand-finishes it before the ring is polished. For a family crest or a bespoke seal, our atelier works from your drawing on request.

Signet rings with a motif

The Signet Star Ring keeps the flat face but adds a star picked out by a single 0.05 ct diamond, on 5.80 g of gold, for anyone who wants a signet that is recognisably theirs without engraving. Initial rings drawn in diamonds, the Chérie line, are in the Signet & Initial Rings collection.

Yellow, white or rose gold

Yellow gold is the classic signet; white gold reads more modern and suits a crest; rose gold sits between the two. All three are the same 18K alloy at 75% gold, so they wear and polish identically.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a men's gold signet ring?

From $1,800 for the Aristocrat or Majestic to $1,981 for the Regal, all in solid 18K gold with a certificate of authenticity; engraving is included. Price follows the gold weight, listed on each product page.

Which finger is a signet ring worn on?

Traditionally the little finger of the non-dominant hand, which is why the sizes start at US 4. Worn on the ring or index finger it becomes a bold plain band; the same ring is made in every size, so choose the finger first and then the size.

Is it solid gold or plated?

Solid 18K gold, hallmarked 750, 5.1 to 5.8 g. Nothing is plated, filled or hollow, so the face can be engraved and re-polished for decades.

Can you engrave a family crest?

Yes. Initials and monograms are engraved as standard; a crest or seal is done to your artwork as a bespoke order, with a rendering sent for approval before we cut it.

Do you make signet rings for women?

The same rings, in the same sizes: on a woman's hand the Aristocrat and Majestic, with the smaller faces, are the usual choice.
