Unlock the Secret Elegance: How Art Deco Gold Rings Redefine Vintage Romance

on Dec 09 2024
The Art Deco style of jewellery of the 1920s and 30s was revolutionary in more ways than one. Known for its extraordinary flair, elegance and geometric designs, it broke the mould of traditional Victorian and Edwardian styles by embracing bold lines and geometric patterns. Long after their inception, Art Deco designs continue to capture hearts and embody an eternal romance that seems to transcend time. The elegance of clean lines and precision of geometric shapes represent harmony and balance that many find deeply romantic. Your Art Deco gold ring can be the perfect emblem of your enduring love and commitment to your partner. These exquisite pieces redefine vintage romance, bridging the gap between the past and present. Let’s discover the history and distinctive features that make Art Deco such an elegant choice for jewellery lovers worldwide. History of Art Deco engagement rings The Art Deco era emerged in the early 20th century, particularly in the 1920s and 1930s. It represented the spirit of people who stood tall and optimistic through two of the most tragic events the world ever saw- World War I and the Great Depression. The style drew its name from the French “Arts Décoratifs”, which literally translates to “decorative arts”. The name was first used to represent this style in the 1925 edition of the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, held in Paris, France. The movement celebrated modernity and embraced a wide range of inspirations. Art Deco has a genuinely international imprint, from the bold geometric patterns of Cubism to the exotic styles of China and Japan. It was the time when precision machinery was being innovated, allowing the artisans to create intricate patterns with unparalleled finesse. The early Art Deco engagement ring designs used a variety of precious metals, from gold and platinum to white gold and ornate gemstones from sapphire to diamond. The designs represented the mechanisation of the modern world and a new sense of freedom that was evident in women’s fashion of the time. Soon, Art Deco jewellery became a symbol of status, sophistication and avant-gardism. The designs particularly attracted the nouveaux riches, who wanted to display their opulence and wealth through these pieces. Today, an Art Deco engagement ring is as popular and fashionable as it was all those years ago. The allure of this style is more than just its timeless beauty. It represents a pivotal moment in art history—when jewellery designs became modern and boldly stepped into the future. The legacy of the Art Deco style, especially gold rings, continues to resonate in the modern world. People celebrate their craftsmanship, design, and the unique window they have opened into the past. Features of Art Deco rings Art Deco rings have a distinguishing set of features that make them instantly recognisable. You will see geometric patterns, precise lines and heavy contrasts in these pieces. Here is how you can spot Art Deco design: Geometric shapes and symmetry The geometric precision of an Art Deco engagement ring is one of the first things that will strike you. The circular, square, triangular, and rectangular shapes are set in a specialised pattern to bring out a feeling of balance and harmony. It reflects the Art Deco movement’s love for modernism and the impact that Cubism had on it. Bold contrast and colour Art Deco rings frequently feature bold contrasts, especially in colour. Designers often use brilliant stones, like sapphires, emeralds, and rubies, against the backdrop of white gold and platinum. Diamonds, with their sparkle and clarity, are also significantly featured in the designs. Innovative materials The Art Deco period featured a novel and inventive use of materials in jewellery making. Platinum became quite a popular choice of material as it allowed designers to create intricate detailing. Dealing with economic issues brought about by war, white gold was introduced as a cheaper alternative to platinum; in terms of aesthetics, it was similar to platinum, but the price was lower. Even today, rose gold and platinum are the materials of choice for creating a stunning Art Deco vintage-style engagement ring. Detailed craftsmanship Art Deco engagement rings are known for their sophisticated artistry. This style used various techniques, such as Filigree (intricate metalwork), Milgrain (tiny beads along the edges of a piece), and pave settings (where stones are set closely together, creating a complete surface). This attention to detail is what makes vintage Art Deco engagement rings stand out. Thankfully, you can see the tradition being embraced in a modern Art Deco engagement ring, which only adds to the allure of this style. Exotic influences In the 1920s, everybody was excited about the exotic, and the cultures of Egypt, Asia, and Africa were all top sources of inspiration. The impact is seen in the motives and imagery used in the vintage Art Deco ring designs, which include Hieroglyphs, lotus flowers, and dragons, providing more correlation and worldliness to these pieces. Streamlined elegance Art Deco engagement rings, with their puritanical simplicity and lines, represent the time’s streamlined elegance, a reflection of the fascination with speed, the power of technology, and futuristics. The ring’s design integrates motion and stillness in a unified structure. The elegance not only relates to the physical shape of the ring but also the visual aspect of the ring on one’s finger. Integration of architectural elements Art Deco engagement rings are a product of the interaction between modern architecture and art, and its effect on their design is undeniable. Architectural motifs like chevron patterns and stepped settings that imitate the profiles of skyscrapers are common, symbolising the aspirations of the time. These features provide the rings with the illusion of grandeur and robustness. The features collectively underscore the Art Deco era’s commitment to blending artistry with modernity. Art Deco engagement rings are not mere ornaments; they are historical artefacts that encapsulate the spirit of an age characterised by bold exploration and a desire to marry beauty with progress. Their appeal lies in their ability to convey the optimism and dynamism of the early 20th century, making them enduring symbols of a period when the world looked forward with hope and imagination. How do Art Deco gold rings redefine vintage romance? The Art Deco movement advocates the balance and harmony of design with geometric shapes, which brings a new level of elegance and sophistication to your jewellery. Providing a contrast to the curved, floral designs of the past, an Art Deco vintage ring represents modernity and new thinking trends in design. These geometric motifs remind us of the necessity of harmony and balance as the main components of long-lasting romance. Here is how Art Deco gold rings redefine vintage romance: Express vibrant emotions with striking contrasts The Art Deco movement is all about creating striking contrasts that serve as a visual metaphor for the complexities and depth of human emotions, particularly in romantic relationships. The bold use of colour in these rings celebrates the vibrancy and diversity in your love for your partner, encouraging you to embrace a full spectrum of your emotions. Your partner can pair the Art Deco ring with our best-selling Art Deco earring (1.72 grams of 18k pure gold) to create the perfect ensemble that exudes class and elegance. Blend traditions with innovation Most vintage engagement ring designs in this style combine traditional materials like yellow gold with innovative metals like platinum to create a stunning canvas for colourful gemstones to shine. This fusion of tradition with innovation mirrors the evolving nature of romance. Embrace global romance The vintage Art Deco engagement rings incorporate exotic motifs and include elements from cultures across the world. This aspect of Art Deco engagement rings suggests a romanticism that is adventurous and open-minded, qualities that are increasingly valued in modern relationships. The inclusion of diverse cultural elements in these vintage rings symbolises a union not just of two individuals but of various traditions and histories, enriching the romantic narrative. In redefining vintage romance, an Art Deco gold engagement ring encapsulates a timeless appeal that is both nostalgic and forward-looking. They remind us that romance, like art, evolves, but its essence—a celebration of connection, creativity, and shared beauty—remains unchanged. Through their distinctive design and symbolic depth, Art Deco gold engagement rings continue to enchant and inspire, offering a unique vision of love that bridges the past and the present. 13 Reasons Handcrafted Gold and Diamond Choker Necklaces are the Pinnacle of Artisanal Luxury

on Dec 08 2024
For years, jewellery has held a special place in human culture. It adorns our bodies and signifies wealth, status, and personal expression. Among these treasures, handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklaces are a pinnacle of artisanal luxury. Why? First, Gold and diamond jewellery are two of the most valuable pieces, worn and coveted over the ages by kings, queens, and jewellery lovers. Secondly, unlike mass-produced jewellery collections, which many fast fashion retailers stock, handcrafted pieces offer a way to avoid the inevitable mound of tangled tat and build a jewellery collection that anyone would admire. In this guide, we’ll share our top thirteen reasons why handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklaces are the pinnacle of artisanal luxury. Let’s delve in! 1. Legacy of skill For a piece of jewellery to be called handcrafted, the overall mould, forming of raw materials, and finishing must be accomplished by hand labour. For centuries, master artisans have held the secrets of fine craftsmanship, shaping and forming raw materials to make each choker using only their hands and simple tools. Their knowledge passed down through generations, imbues each piece with a rich history and unmatched quality. Imagine workshops filled with the soft glow of torches as skilled hands and experienced eyes, aided by jeweller’s loupes, fabricate a wide range of flawlessly sparkling gold and diamond choker necklace styles. Learning this expertise, passed down through generations of practice, takes time and dedication. So, each time you wear one, you aren’t just wearing a piece of adornment; you’re wearing the hard work and dedication of the artisan who made it. 2. Unmatched quality Mass-produced jewellery is often made of cheaper, more readily available materials like steel, copper, and plastics. However, quality is paramount in making handcrafted choker necklaces. Unlike mass-produced jewellery, each intricate filigree pattern on your choker necklace sets a timeless class and standard. The foundation of this unmatched quality lies in the elaborate process involved and the undivided attention and skill of the maker, from choosing fine precious materials like gold, silver, semi-precious stones and diamonds to making a spectacular design with precise details and satisfaction in the finished products. 3. Bespoke beauty A top reason why handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklaces are the pinnacle luxury jewellery is that they aren’t available to all as they would be if they were machine-made. Machine-made jewellery is mass-produced and most likely worn by many people. On the other hand, handcrafted chokers are not made in bulk and can be tailored to your taste. You can choose your preferred gold colour, diamond cut, and design to create a unique piece that reflects your personality. Sometimes, artisans make only one piece of each design, making it a rare treasure to flaunt; therefore, as an owner, you become the valued treasurer of this signature craft. If you want a unique piece customised to your needs, Aquae Jewels can help. Contact our team to make a custom piece just for you. We will take our time to understand your needs so we can make you happy and give you what your heart desires. 4. Investment piece Owning a handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklace isn’t just about acquiring a stunning piece of fine jewellery; it’s about making a wise investment. Besides their limited availability and enduring materials, handcrafted chokers, unlike fleeting trends, hold their value, do not quickly go out of style, and can even appreciate over time, making them a savvy financial decision. However, making the proper selection is critical. To make the right selection, you only need to research and choose a company or designer known for their honesty and respect for materials. Are you planning to invest in jewellery? This stunning Constellation Drops Choker is a gorgeous gold and diamond choker necklace you can invest in or buy for your loved one. This piece will make your lady shine with an air of sophistication any time, any day. The combination of five pear-cut precious stones and two diamonds makes it a fine investment piece. It is available in Yellow gold, White gold, and Rose gold. 5. Inherently sustainable If you’re trying to be conscious of your purchases, sustainability is another fascinating reason why handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklaces are the pinnacle of artisanal luxury. Handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklaces are often made by small companies, which are likelier to be more dedicated to sustainability and ethically sourced precious metals and materials than prominent, established ones. Furthermore, these small companies often have long-standing relationships with reputable gold and diamond suppliers, ensuring the raw materials used are beautiful and responsibly obtained. Inherently, being ethical can be much more expensive than taking the easy route and buying from dealers with low prices and questionable sourcing approaches. Unfortunately, the phrase “sustainable” is being tossed around quite often, as it is one of those terms that is not governed by any stance and can be “interpreted” by any company at any time to suit their marketing plans. As a consumer, you must establish what is important when you want to shop sustainably. Is it that the luxury jewellery brand does good for the planet, makes products from recyclable material, or both? At Aquae Jewels, our raw materials come from ethical mines. A certificate of authenticity accompanies each piece. Thus, we assure you of our materials’ legal and ethical origins. 6. Symbol of power and status Historically, choker necklaces have held a certain mystique, adorning the necks of royalty, nobility, and the social elite. From Egyptian pharaohs to European monarchs, these intricate pieces physically manifested their wealth, power, and social standing. The symbolism of power and status associated with choker necklaces has transcended time. Today’s celebrities and tastemakers continue to embrace the choker, using it to make a bold statement on the red carpet or at exclusive events. Owning a handcrafted choker allows you to connect with this modern interpretation of power, transforming it into a statement piece that commands attention and elevates your style. The Scarlett Java Necklace is one such piece that will elevate your style in any venue. This handcrafted masterpiece merges modern and classic elements to create a timeless piece perfect for every woman. Its chain is composed of round diamonds that hold an attractive pear-cut precious stone (Emerald, Ruby, Blue Sapphire, or Pink Sapphire) as the centrepiece. It is also available in gold, Yellow, White, and Rose. 7. Exclusive designs Considering artisans rather than machine makers make handcrafted choker necklaces, each piece is made in small quantities. You are unlikely to run into someone at a wedding or an event wearing the same piece of handmade gold and diamond choker necklace as you. Each piece of handmade jewellery, be it necklaces, bracelets, earrings, handmade beaded jewellery, or gemstone jewellery, is truly unique. Master artisans don’t face the restrictions of machine designs or trending items. They use their creativity to develop unique ideas and designs for handmade jewellery. 8. Potential heirloom Another fantastic reason handcrafted choker necklaces are the pinnacle of artisanal luxury is that a handcrafted choker is more than just an accessory; it’s a potential heirloom. Imagine gifting this exquisite piece to a loved one. It would be a tangible symbol of your love and a reminder of the irreplaceable value of true craftsmanship. 9. Attention to detail When making each unique piece, master artisans infuse their work with love, passion, and energy. They allocate more time to each piece, scrutinising every aspect of your item to ensure the finished product is done perfectly every time. Conversely, in mass-produced processes, every piece is not guaranteed to be inspected to the same level. It is too easy for imperfect jewellery to pass through quality control, where it frequently ends its journey as waste. 10. High-quality materials In most cases, the materials in a handcrafted piece are of stellar quality. Conversely, it isn’t easy to regulate or even know what alloys and quality mass-production manufacturers use. Small independent jewellery makers often make handcrafted chokers. Materials are typically sourced from highly reputable suppliers, can be traced, and the designer can select exclusive materials that larger luxury jewellery brands don’t want to work with because they are more time-consuming (i.e., not cost-effective) and very intricate and demanding. We at Aquae Jewels use the finest quality, ethically sourced materials to make our choker necklaces. 11. Storytelling behind each piece It is true that when an artist makes something, they put a lot of energy, effort, and thinking into it. As a result, whatever emotions and feelings they used to create the thing become part of the story. Artists call this their process, and it’s as personal as each piece they create. Each piece is remarkable, which is why handcrafted choker necklaces are unique. Furthermore, because you get to be a part of that story, especially if it is custom-made, they become more than just objects – they become vessels of emotion, meaning, and storytelling. Whatever story each piece tells—whether it’s about confidence, power, self-love, exclusive beauty, or even quirkiness—you inherit its unique narrative, and then you get to make it your own. 12. Unique variety Handcrafted choker pieces are often unique and carry the maker’s signature. Mass-produced jewellery is often dictated by consumer habits and fashion trends, leading to an abundance of copycat pieces or uninspired, outdated designs. When you invest in small-scale designers, you are supporting talented craftspeople with innovative and unique approaches to centuries-old techniques through your purchase. This often leads to an incredibly diverse marketplace and leaves us spoiled for choice. 13. Surprisingly exceptional value direct from our workshop The general notion is that handcrafted choker necklaces or jewellery are expensive, and some are. However, it may surprise you that many handcrafted jewellery items are exceptional value direct from our workshop. This is because handmade jewellery is often made by small independent makers with fewer overhead expenses. Have doubts? See our Pure Pear Choker necklace. This elegant yet exceptional value direct from our workshop piece, set with a modern and refined diamond, will brighten up your most beautiful evenings. You can also wear it during the day to brighten up an outfit. On the flip side, some handcrafted pieces can be expensive, but understand that a small business often means operating on tiny budgets. This, in turn, means that small-time designers cannot buy the most considerable bulk of materials to get the prices down as the big corporations do. Of course, this also triggers a chain reaction in the final price tag. In order to compete, small businesses use the same markup profit margin as big luxury jewellers do to stay in business (to make a living) and hope to God that people see the value of what they are getting in return compared to machine-made products. So, the next time you consider purchasing a handcrafted piece, remember that even though it might be a bit more pricey than you initially set out to pay, you are supporting something bigger than yourself. That said, unlike many other jewellery makers, you can always get the best handcrafted unique jewellery tailored to your taste without the heavy price tag at Aquae Jewels. Takeaway: Get handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklaces to elevate your style Here is what you need you need to take away from this post: Each handcrafted gold and diamond choker necklace is not just a piece of jewellery; it’s a work of art, a conversation starter, a symbol of unparalleled luxury, and a timeless investment. Overloading your wrists with accessories can overwhelm your look, but with the right choices, you can create a look that’s unique. Learning to blend gold and silver charm bracelets effectively is crucial for creating a sophisticated, eye-catching look. This article will explain how to achieve this harmony. Can gold be paired with a diamond charm bracelet? Gold and diamonds complement each other seamlessly, creating a dazzling combination. The warmth and elegance of the gold beautifully underscores the brilliance and sparkle of the diamonds, resulting in a captivating contrast. Diamond’s versatility allows you to customise your bracelet. Choose yellow gold’s classic charm, white gold’s modern sophistication, or rose gold’s romantic allure. How do I mix and match gold and diamond charm bracelets? Wearing gold and silver jewellery together is an art. Combining these metals on your wrists can easily create a stylish bracelet stack, whether you prefer a subtle or bold look. Here’s how to mix and match them effectively: Choose a base metal Before combining charm bracelets or mixing metals, selecting a ‘base metal’ is important. This is the primary metal that will be visible on your bracelet. Gold comes in different colours, such as rose, yellow, and white, each with a unique appearance. When selecting a hue, consider your style and inclinations. Yellow gold offers classic warmth, white gold provides modern elegance, and rose gold adds a touch of femininity. Choose mixed metal jewellery that best suits your style and enhances your skin tone. Select charm styles When choosing charms, consider various styles that include gold and diamonds. For instance, you can choose charm bracelets with elaborate gold designs and discreet diamond accents, such as diamond-studded hearts, stars, or flowers. From Classic Solitaires to Unique Settings: Exploring Gold and Diamond Engagement Rings

on Dec 05 2024
An engagement ring is a timeless symbol of love and commitment. It’s a profound declaration of everlasting devotion, a tangible embodiment of promises whispered in the quiet moments of intimacy. For centuries, the exchange of engagement rings has symbolised the promise of a shared future, a covenant sealed with precious metals and precious stones. It’s a practice that transcends language barriers and spans continents, a universal testament to the power of love to transcend time and space. However, choosing the perfect engagement ring is no easy feat, as the abundance of engagement ring designs can be overwhelming. This engagement ring guide will help you understand the different engagement ring designs, from the classic solitaires that have adorned the fingers of generations to the avant-garde designs pushing the boundaries of conventional beauty. Overview of gold engagement ring designs Since the ancient Romans started exchanging engagement rings as a symbol of commitment, these objects have come a long way. The early engagement rings were made of iron. Then, gold engagement rings became more popular as the Roman Empire expanded and gained prominence during the Renaissance. Today, gold engagement rings remain popular. They feature a gold band and a precious gemstone (which could be a diamond, ruby, emerald, or sapphire). They come in different designs and styles to cater to individual preferences. Some of the most common gold engagement ring designs are: Solitaire gold engagement rings Solitaire engagement rings are simple, elegant pieces that feature a single prominent gemstone set on a plain gold band using prongs. The simplicity of the solitaire gold engagement ring means that it shifts the focus to the mounted gemstone, allowing you to showcase the beauty of the gemstone. Also, solitaire engagement rings never go out of style. Though fashion styles and trends keep changing, these simple but fashionable engagement rings are always in fashion. Halo gold engagement rings The word “halo” may make you remember the round band of light over a saint’s head in religious images. Halo gold engagement rings have a gold band and a central stone surrounded by a circle of smaller gemstones. The smaller gemstones around the big centrepiece create a dazzling effect that enhances the beauty of the gold engagement ring. The halo setting can make your centre stone look bigger. The sparkling circle of gemstones around the centrepiece also makes the halo setting add a sense of luxury to engagement rings. See the Princess Tall Engagement Ring, an 18k gold engagement ring with a circle of round diamonds around a mesmerising oval blue sapphire. The band is available in yellow, white, and rose gold. So, besides getting a high-quality, durable gold ring, you get to choose a colour that matches your style. Three-stone gold engagement rings Want an engagement ring that symbolises your journey together as a couple? Go for the three-stone engagement rings. These gold engagement rings feature a gold band and a trio of gemstones set in a row, representing the past, present, and future. The two side stones can complement and enhance the beauty of the central stone, especially in designs where smaller stones flank a larger middle stone. Split shank gold engagement rings A split-shank gold engagement ring is a gold band that divides into two at the shoulder before meeting the centre stone setting. The splitting band gives the impression that the ring is more elaborate. This design adds a unique touch to the traditional design of engagement rings. See the elegant Ring Verveine, an 18k white gold band that splits into two separate strands as it approaches a square-cut sapphire surrounded with diamonds. Twisted shank gold engagement rings A twisted shank gold engagement ring is a gold band that splits into separate strands that twist while approaching the centre stone setting. The twisted shank design adds sophistication and a romantic feel to the traditional plain gold band. Overview of diamond engagement ring designs While a gold engagement ring is a gold band with any gemstone as the centre stone, a diamond engagement ring is any metal band with a diamond as the centre stone. The first diamond engagement ring was commissioned in 1477 by Archduke Maximilian of Austria for his bride, Mary of Burgundy. But it was in the Victorian era that diamond engagement rings became popular. Then, De Beer’s “A Diamond is Forever” advertising campaign of the early 1940s made diamond rings the go-to rings for engagements. Today, there’s a slew of diamond engagement ring designs to match different preferences. Some of the most popular diamond ring designs are: Solitaire diamond engagement rings The simple solitaire diamond rings feature a plain metal band and a solitary diamond. Solitaires can have different diamond cuts and shapes. The main thing is that there’s just one diamond mounted on the band. An example is the elegant She Said Yes Diamond Engagement Ring, which has a brilliant display of a round 2k diamond set on an 18k gold band. Pave diamond engagement rings The pavé diamond ring is a solitaire engagement ring that also features tiny diamonds along the metal band. That is, in addition to the big diamond centrepiece, small diamonds cover the surface of the band, creating a more sparkling effect. There are three types of pave diamond engagement rings, depending on how much of the band the tiny diamonds cover. Full pavé: The whole of the band is covered. ¾ pavé: Three-quarters of the band is covered. Half pavé: Half of the band is covered. See this beautiful Emerald Premium Solitaire Engagement Ring featuring an exquisite emerald cut diamond as the centrepiece of a yellow gold band lined halfway with tiny round diamonds. Three-stone diamond engagement rings Three-stone diamond rings feature three precious stones set in a row on a metal band. The three stones are usually diamonds. However, you can have other gemstones (like rubies) flanking a larger diamond. Three-stone engagement rings are popular because of what they symbolise, as they represent the past, present and future of the couple’s relationship. Having three diamonds instead of one adds to the sparkle, enhancing the beauty of the ring. An example is the Henriette Diamond Engagement Ring. The exquisite piece with three beautiful rectangular cuts of white diamonds set on a durable 18k gold band will bring out the subtle elegance of any outfit you pair it with. Halo diamond engagement rings Halo rings feature a circle of smaller diamonds surrounding a larger centre diamond. The smaller diamonds add to the ring’s sparkle, enhancing its overall beauty. Channel-set diamond engagement rings Channel-set diamond rings feature diamonds set into a channel along the band, creating a sleek and elegant look. The channel/groove is cut into the shank of the engagement ring, and small diamonds are placed side by side in the channel. The channel holds the diamonds so they flush with the surface of the shank, leading to a smooth look. With the diamonds placed side by side each other, the diamond-set diamond ring creates a continuous line of brilliance. The Premium Gold and Diamond Engagement Ring is a timeless piece with a 1.5k white diamond as a centrepiece flanked on either side by four smaller channel-set round diamonds. The continuous brilliance and fire of the side stones add to the elegance of the bigger centre stone to make this engagement ring design stunning. Bezel-set diamond engagement ring The bezel-set diamond rings feature a centre diamond whose edges are surrounded by a metal rim, giving it a sleek and modern look. The bezel setting is like a small metal cup with a slender rim. The diamond is placed inside the metal cup, and the rim is folded over the diamond and polished. If you want the highest security for your diamond centrepiece, bezel-set diamond engagement rings are for you. First, it is one of the most secure settings. Since the diamond sits in a metal cup that folds over it, there is no chance of it falling out. The cup also keeps the diamond from being scratched or chipped as you wear the ring. Tension-set diamond engagement rings Tension set rings hold the centrepiece in place by the tension created by the two ends of the metal band. The metal band is left open at the top. Small grooves are cut in the face of each end, where the sides of the centrepiece will slightly sink into. Then, the opening of the band is widened, and the gem is placed between the two ends. When the band is released, its two ends close on the diamond, applying enough pressure to hold the stone in place. The tension setting creates the illusion that the diamond is suspended in the air, resulting in very attractive and intriguing diamond engagement rings. Vintage diamond engagement rings Vintage engagement rings draw inspiration from designs from historical periods, especially the Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, and Retro eras. These rings capture elements influenced by the prevailing fashion and artistic movements of those past eras and add a modern touch to create extremely stylish engagement ring designs. They feature intricate details like engraving, filigree work, milgrain, and more. These details make vintage engagement rings statement rings for very stylish individuals. Can I customise my own engagement ring? Yes, Aquae Jewels lets you customise your own engagement ring. While we have different styles of engagement rings in our collection, we understand that you may have a unique design in mind, and we’ll work with you to bring it to life. Customising your own engagement ring can be a richly rewarding experience, as it gives you a bespoke piece that matches your personal preference. The process of customising your engagement ring is as follows: Initial consultation Customising your engagement ring begins with discussing your ideas and preferences with us. This will help us understand your desired style and any specific element you may want. Gold and stone selection When customising your engagement ring, you’ll have the freedom to tweak the band’s metal, the central stone, the stone’s setting, and the ring’s style. The band’s metal While different metals are used in crafting the bands of engagement rings, gold is more popular, as it has been a symbol of enduring love for centuries and is a durable and long-lasting metal suitable for jewellery for everyday wear. Thus, our engagement rings are made from only gold. However, you can choose the gold colour, as we offer yellow gold, white gold, or rose gold ring metal. The central stone You can also choose the gemstone you want as the focal point of your engagement ring. You can select a diamond centrepiece or other classic gemstones like sapphires, rubies, or emeralds. When you select a particular type of stone for your engagement ring, you’ll also want to select the shape of the stone. For example, with diamonds, you can choose whether you want the stone to be round, oval, pear, heart, marquise, etc. The stone’s setting Another design element for customising your ring is how the stone is mounted on the band. You can choose any of the different settings—prong, bezel, tension, etc. Know that the setting affects not only the security of the stone in the band but also the sparkle of the stone. The ring style Lastly, you can decide the unique characteristics of your ring. For example, will you want a classic plain band, a split shank, or a twisted shank? Will you want to complement your centrestone with other precious stones? Do you want stones anywhere on the band? Preliminary design and 3D Modeling Based on your input, we’ll create a preliminary digital design. We’ll share the design with you for review and refine it until it meets your expectations. Then, we’ll create a 3D model of the refined design to give you a more detailed view. Cost estimation We’ll give you a no-obligation cost estimate based on the chosen materials, design, and labour involved. Approval Lastly, we seek your approval of the final design and cost. If you approve, you can make a deposit, and we’ll proceed with creating your bespoke engagement ring. Also read: Aquae Jewels’ Gold and Diamond Designs: Redefining Luxury In a New Way. How to choose the right engagement ring If you’re having trouble choosing an engagement ring, the following will help you: Your partner’s style You want to make sure your partner will like the engagement ring you give them. So, pay attention to your partner’s style preference. Do they prefer classic engagement rings? Then, you should go for the timeless elegance of a solitaire engagement ring. But if they like rings that easily catch people’s eye and get them noticed, you may consider more exquisite pieces like halo rings. Your partner’s lifestyle Certain styles are more durable than others, making them more suitable for active lifestyles. So, considering your partner’s lifestyle can help you choose the right engagement ring. If your partner has an active lifestyle or works with their hands frequently, choose a design with greater durability. In this regard, more durable bezel-set rings will be more suitable than the less durable tension-set rings. Also read: Can You Wear 18k Gold Everyday? Gemstone quality The quality of the gemstone directly impacts the beauty of the engagement ring. This is because higher-quality gemstones generally exhibit more brilliance, fire, and scintillation, enhancing their beauty. So, select a quality gemstone if you want to choose a ring that your partner will cherish for generations. For example, when buying diamond engagement rings, consider the 4Cs. Go for a diamond with a suitable carat, good cut, high clarity, and relatively colourless. Takeaway: Choose the perfect engagement ring for your partner Engagement rings have come a long way. Today, gold and diamond engagement rings are the most popular engagement ring designs. These engagement rings come in several styles, from simple solitaire rings to more sophisticated halo rings and very bold vintage rings. While the abundance of engagement rings can make choosing the right one overwhelming, considering your partner’s style preference, lifestyle, and the gemstone’s quality will help you make the right choice. So, where do you get that perfect engagement ring? You can’t go wrong by choosing Aquae Jewels for your gold or diamond engagement rings. We offer some of the most beautiful engagement ring designs you’ll find. All our pieces include only high-quality diamonds and other precious stones. Also, they’re all crafted from high-quality 18k gold (which is better than pure gold for jewellery because of its perfect blend of sparkle and durability). ZENA LOUAY ROKA RESTAURANT REVIEW

on Oct 11 2024
Fashion and recent trends are all that make our world sparking at Aquae Jewels! As a fine and modern jewellery brand, we love to tour the newest and coolest hot spots in Dubai! This was no different when ROKA arrived on the scene at the trendy Optus hotel in Business Bay. The sister restaurant to the famous ZUMA had a big name to live up to with the restaurant already having several branches in London including in Mayfair and Aldwyc. We were dying to review the new restaurant and see how fine dining compares to fine jewellery, so we spoke to our friend of the brand; Zena Louay to see what she thinks. As a woman of taste, do you think there are similarities between fine cuisine and jewellery? When looking at ROKA in Dubai not really as it isn’t as upmarket as the restaurant in London. If you want something more fine dining and upmarket that would compare better with jewellery you are better to look at ZUMA. I know ROKA is the sister restaurant of ZUMA but there is just a different level of service and price point which is more comparable with what you pay when you look for fine jewellery. Fine and delicate handmaded jewelry is a craft of art and passion like high quality cooking. If you had to choose one of them as a skill, which would you have chosen? I love to cook and wish I was good at it but no matter how much I practice I don’t think I could ever be on the same level as the chefs in ROKA, the presentation and taste is amazing! The way they do desserts is delicious as well, I can never say no to dessert! Do you consider yourself to be a lover of life? What is the life you love the most? Yes, of course I love life! I love myself and I’m so happy with the way life is at the moment. I like living in the moment and taking it day by day. Do you easily fall for a good dish, a restaurant or a pastry? I am a sucker for a good Tuna Tartare. I am yet to find one in Dubai I don’t like, I have it everywhere that it is served. As a model do you have to follow a strict diet? Is having a healthy diet something that has become part of your life or something that you have to consciously think about every day? YES!! It’s become more of a lifestyle – I’m watching my food all the time. I allow myself to enjoy food but if I have eaten badly two days in a row, I have to fix it afterwards.

Why Delicate Gold and Diamond Anklets Are Summer Must-Haves and How to Style Them

on Apr 20 2024
You can never go wrong by introducing anklets to your summer outfits. They bring the perfect sparkle to complement your summer sandals and sun-kissed ankles. Whether just strolling along sandy beaches or attending a party, anklets can help you make a bold fashion statement while effortlessly capturing people’s attention. Summer anklets are available in multiple designs and gemstones, including gold and diamond. Some are available in minimalistic designs, while others allow you to showcase your creativity and individuality to the world. You can wear multiple anklets at a time, making them easy to style and a must-have for your summers. In this post, we’ll discuss reasons why you must include delicate gold and diamond anklets in your summer ensembles. We’ll also provide you with numerous ways to style them. 1. Low-maintenance luxury Most jewellery, including necklaces, rings, and earrings, requires much attention and upkeep. You must remove them frequently, such as when going to bed, showering, or going to the gym. On the other hand, anklets are a convenient luxury; you can wear them and forget about them for several days or weeks. Gold and diamond are highly resilient and can withstand daily wear and tear. You can wear your anklet to the shower, ocean, and work. Read also: What Should I Know Before Buying Gold Jewellery. 2. Unmatched comfort Like socks and shoes, anklets are less disruptive and provide unmatched comfort. They are unlikely to stick or rub onto your skin, meaning you don’t have to keep adjusting them. Anklets are unlike other jewellery, such as bracelets and necklaces, which may be uncomfortable to wear for long periods. They are not tight or constrictive, and you can easily forget you are wearing one as soon as you leave the house. 3. Versatile style While minimalist gold and diamond ankle bracelets do not make a statement, they complement shoes perfectly. Whether you wear heels for a night out or walk along the beach in your flip-flops, anklets add a stylish touch to your feet. Anklets are less noticeable at first, allowing them to complement any outfit. Regardless of material, they add a pop of summer vibes to casual hot weather outfits. We recommend the Constellation Precious Stone Anklet, made of 18k gold and comprising several green gemstones that add a pop of colour to any shoe. 4. Attention-grabbing appeal Do you want to draw attention to your new stilettos or the pretty French pedicure you just got? Dressing your ankles in sparkling gold and diamond jewels will do the trick. Summer is the best time to show off your well-maintained legs and feet. You can get people to admire your feet when you expose your skin to the summer sun while lounging in the hotel pool. Our attention-grabber recommendation is the Constellation Britney Anklet. 5. Symbolic significance In addition to their aesthetic appeal, anklets can hold symbolic meaning. Traditionally, anklets were worn to signify marital status, with different ankles representing different relationship statuses. While this tradition may have faded, wearing an anklet on your left ankle can be a subtle nod to commitment and love. 6. Boost of confidence Anklets have a unique way of making you feel beautiful and confident. Whether you’re wearing a simple gold anklet or a diamond-studded masterpiece, there’s something undeniably alluring about wearing these shimmering adornments. How to style delicate gold and diamond anklets Gold and diamond anklets are common among mature women, while teenagers mostly wear beaded ankle bracelets. Let us look at style tips and the best ways to incorporate gold and diamond anklets into your summer staple: Showcase your personality Express your individuality by customising your anklets to reflect your personal style. At Aquae Jewels, we have a team that is solely focused on customisation. They create anklets according to individual desires to help bring out your personal style. We have a wide range of designs to choose from, and we can also customise your ankle bracelet if you bring in a design we don’t offer yet. An ideal example is ocean-inspired anklets. These allow you to keep a piece of the sea and its magical moments. We can also add a diamond gemstone to give the anklet a personal meaning or message. Layer with other anklets and jewellery for a striking look Layering with other anklets is a fun and trendy look. However, you should ensure that the anklets are similar so that when combined, they have a striking resemblance to enhance your look. When layering your anklet with another, size is essential and can affect the look and comfort. Wearing the same-sized anklets can put a lot of pressure around the same spot in your ankles, making it uncomfortable. However, if one anklet is smaller, it can rest above the larger one, minimising the movement around your ankles. You can also layer your anklet with a similar bracelet. For example, a bracelet with gold gemstones goes well with an anklet comprising identical precious gemstones. You can also wear a matching necklace, ring or earrings for a more complete look. Due to their convenience, you don’t always need similar-looking bracelets to upgrade your look. You can pair them with beads, freshwater pearls, or leather anklets. Complement your party outfit Some things that make summer fun include nonstop parties in peoples’ backyards, on beaches, and on boats. But how do you ensure your outfit showcases your partying mood? If you wear sneakers to the party, there are multiple ways to pair them with anklets. You can match the colours of your shoes and anklet exactly or choose complementary colours for a cohesive look. For example, if you have a pair of bright white sneakers, you can pair them with an anklet made of yellow gold. You can also wear your favourite floral dress with flirty wedge sandals to a party. The best way to complete this look is to add an accessory, such as a gold anklet with a decorative floral charm. Upscale your office dressing Anklets are meant not only for the outdoors but also for fun and activities. They can also help you create a minimalistic and classy look, ideal for an office environment. If you wear an anklet to accompany your office outfit, wear something less noticeable. The office is often busy, and people have tasks, so wearing attention-grabbing jewellery such as anklets with chimes or noisy bells may be inappropriate. Diamond and gold anklets can go well with tailored pantsuits and jumpsuits, which are common in the workplace during summer. They also work with heels, sneakers, or sandals, making them convenient. The anklet you wear to the office should fit properly. Ensure it is not too loose or slack on your leg to stop it from distracting you when conducting business. Fortunately, you can find a professional jeweller to adjust the size of most modern anklets or do it yourself. Some workplace management teams may not appreciate you wearing an anklet to work. They may find it too casual, so it’s important to know your company’s dress codes. The Verona Heart Cut Anklet is an ideal option for a minimalistic office look. It is encrusted with small white diamonds that are not easily visible unless you’re attentive. Pair your anklet with a bright pedicure During summer, your toes can say hello to the world. You can bury them in the sand, feel the ocean water, and, best of all, get a vibrant, bright pedicure and enjoy the beauty of your feet. One of the best ways to get people to look at your pedicure is to wear an anklet as your summer staple. Capture their attention with a mix of diamond gemstones with intricate designs and chimes that reach the ear with every step. Glam up your date night Most people find it hard to create a flirtatious vibe on a date, especially if it’s your first time out with this person. Anklets are a great way to get some romance in your life. A shimmery gold anklet will have a man admiring every part of you, with their focus starting from your feet. An anklet will likely pair well with your romantic evening outfit, including some strappy heels and a similar necklace. Takeaway: Spice up your summer outfits with delicate gold and diamond anklets Since their popularity in the ’90s, anklets are rising again among trendy jewellery. Their ability to pair well with almost any outfit and shoe makes them popular among most women. Mature women often wear anklets made from pure precious metals or gold-plated brass. They may also include gemstones such as diamonds or other valuable gemstones. Gold and diamond anklets are easy to maintain. Both materials are hard and can withstand the salty ocean water, beach, sand, and other elements. At Aquae Jewels, we offer a variety of anklet designs. Our team of professionals is ready to start working on your customised anklet as soon as you place the order. Visit our shop to browse through our selection of anklets.

Styling Tips: How Minimalist Gold and Diamond Bangle Bracelets Influence Everyday Fashion

on Apr 20 2024
Minimalism, a movement that originated in the art and design industries, has truly taken the world by storm. The forerunners of minimalism aimed to create a single “moment”—a single sensation, mood, or impression—rather than attempting to create extravagant, dizzying showpieces. Given the continual bombardment of social media updates and news alerts we receive today, it makes sense that we are drawn to minimalism. After all, aren’t the most beautiful things in life often the simplest and most basic ones? Minimalist bangle bracelets suit many looks, and it’s hard to wear them incorrectly. In this article, we’ll examine the factors contributing to their growing popularity and offer helpful styling tips for these gorgeous pieces for everyday wear. Overview of minimalist style in jewellery Jewellery with a minimalist aesthetic transcends trends. It has been around for a while and is still a favourite for today’s jewellery enthusiasts. Since more people are choosing to live simpler, less cluttered lives and make more ethical decisions, this type of jewellery has become increasingly popular in recent years. The minimalist style retains its simplicity and elegance while offering all the sparkle and shine of diamonds and precious metals. It is no wonder many people find it enormously attractive. Minimalist jewellery can be worn lightly rather than as a striking standout piece. It is a sort of “barely there” jewellery. Its sophisticated look goes well with various outfits, and because of its simplicity, donning the style is practically impossible to get wrong. Its delicate nature naturally enhances the wearer’s inherent beauty as it works its gentle spell on everyone. This allows you to be trend-conscious and sophisticated for that grand night out. What makes minimalist jewellery so popular? Mistinguette Bracelet A lot of people choose minimalist jewellery for the following reasons: Easy to wear Minimalist jewellery is the most comfortable type of jewellery to wear. You can layer and pile it to “build” a look for a bolder effect or wear it as delicate pieces on their own. Easy to carry A piece of minimalist jewellery does not limit your movement. For instance, if you have to use a computer, big charm bracelets may get in the way. However, minimalist jewellery doesn’t make doing everyday tasks uncomfortable. Great for gifting How often have you considered giving a friend, coworker, or family member a piece of jewellery as a gift, only to be overwhelmed by various styles, colours, and other options? With bigger, more precisely tailored pieces, it’s easy to make a mistake. Though its simplicity ensures that you can’t really go wrong, the minimalist style offers options you know will work for everyone. The nicest part is that you can use it for various gifts (pendants, rings, chain bracelets, earrings, etc.) for that individual over the course of a year or several years. Thus, you won’t have to worry about what to get them as a gift for a few years. Minimalist jewellery is also a wonderful present for kids and young adults. Typically, it is delicate and lacks any loud elements. For this reason, it’s an excellent coming-of-age present for sweet sixteens, graduations, and other noteworthy events in a young person’s life. Its uncomplicated simplicity ensures that it constantly looks excellent. Ethical Minimalist jewellery might be a fantastic option for those who enjoy ethical jewellery. This is because the price of recycled precious metals is lower than that of newly extracted metal. However, minimalist jewellery that uses less metal and gemstones will initially cost less, allowing you to spend a little more on recycled and ethically sourced goods. Suitable for those who dislike wearing bracelets This design is a wonderful way to dabble in fine jewels without feeling overly committed or uncomfortable. Simple thin 1 mm ring bands, a little gem-set pendant, or minimalist bangle bracelets are easy ways to add a little glitter. This is an excellent approach to adding a touch of professionalism without going overboard or livening up an ensemble. Works for men as well Men look great in simple jewellery. This makes minimalist jewellery a great gift for them. Men’s minimalist jewellery options include simple cuff links or tie pins, ring bands, single stud earrings, and simple necklaces or delicate bracelets made with precious gold. Thus, wearable minimalist jewellery has a lot to offer everyone. Takeaway: Enhance your look with Aquae Jewels’ minimalist bangle bracelets Simple gold or diamond bangle bracelets are classic pieces to add to your jewellery collection. Their elegant beauty and the ease at which they go from informal to formal are essential when you want to look elegant without trying too hard. These exquisite pieces demonstrate a deliberate act of choosing accessories with thoughtfulness and sustainability. Are you ready to embrace the charms of simplicity? Explore the essence of luxury with Aquae Jewels’ minimalist gold and diamond bangle bracelets to elevate your everyday style.

Exploring in Style: A Comprehensive Guide to Gold and Diamond Anklets for Travel Enthusiasts

on Apr 19 2024
Do you know that jewellery like anklets, necklaces and bracelets can improve your appearance and help you express your personality and passion for travel as you explore new cultures? If you love to look stylish and practical while travelling, you will love this comprehensive guide to gold and diamond anklets for travel enthusiasts! In this piece, we discuss the history and significance of anklets. We also provide tips on choosing the perfect anklet for travelling and offer styling advice for your travel outfits. History of anklets An anklet, also called an ankle string or ankle chain, is an ornament worn around the ankle. Let’s explore its origin quickly. Ancient origins Believe it or not, anklets have existed far longer than high heels and toenail polish. They have been used to captivate a partner, show that you have a partner, or flaunt wealth. The oldest anklets are said to date back more than 8,000 years. At that time, they were much more than just fashion jewellery. Anklets in Northeastern Africa/Middle East In ancient Egypt, anklets were highly fashionable. They were fashion jewellery for the wealthy classes of women, who often showed their status with flashy stones and precious metals like gold and silver. On the other hand, women of the common class typically wore handmade anklets with simple metals. Today, anklets are essential to Middle Eastern belly dancers’ outfits. Whether it’s a simple handcrafted gold and diamond anklet or a more elaborate design from our Aquae Jewels collection, anklets continue to be beautiful and meaningful accessories that can complete any look. Anklets in South Asia Throughout history, anklets have played a prominent cultural role, including in South Asia. In india, women have worn them for centuries on their wedding day and afterwards to show their marital status. Often adorned with tiny bells that make a unique tinkling sound, these jewellery were not just musical but culturally significant, as they announced the presence of the lady of the house. Certain Indian tribes wear anklets for reasons other than showcasing beauty and social standing. For example, women in tribal areas of Rajasthan put on handmade sterling silver anklets that are extremely heavy to display bravery. Anklets in America Anklets finally made their way into the United States during the 1950s. During the subsequent decades, they became trendy pieces of fashion jewellery. During the earlier parts of the twentieth century, it was rumoured that only prostitutes wore ankle strings. Because of this old wives tale, many mothers prevented their daughters from wearing them. Although there is no solid evidence that this was a cultural practice, many believed it. By the 1970s, ankle bracelets were a widespread part of fashion. Handmade jewellery became particularly popular during this time, and wearing anklets with charms on them was common. Today, anklets are still incredibly fashionable and desired by women all over the world. These chic items make wonderful gifts and are also perfect for treating yourself to a fun and fresh new accessory. You may also like: The Ultimate Guide to Pick a Jewellery Gift. Significance of anklets If you like to know something’s significance before using it, you are not alone. Buckle up as we explore some meanings regarding this fashion accessory. The symbol of the anklets, according to different civilisations Due to its manifold origins, the anklet has several meanings that can sometimes take diametrically opposite directions. Indeed, in some African tribes, the bride is offered an anklet to testify to her husband’s commitment. In ancient Egypt, anklets were worn by prostitutes as a peculiar sign. Hence, sometimes, deciding whether an anklet is a sign of respect or an indication of small virtues can be challenging. In other West African cultures, the ankle chain is worn with gigantic necklaces during initiation rites and various celebrations. It can also suggest the social class and determine the wearer’s fortune. On the other hand, this accessory had a completely different use in China. In this part of Asia, the anklet is put on the feet of children as a talisman to protect them against evil spirits. In India, the anklet is a true ode to femininity. It takes on a character associated with sensuality and is even more captivating when adorned with various accessories such as charms or bells. In the culture of Indian women, slowly walking is an additional measure of charm. On the feet of these women, this piece of jewel becomes an instrument of massive seduction. In addition, in India, women wear chains intertwined on their ankles during wedding celebrations. This accessory completes the bride’s outfit and signifies her upcoming alliance with her future husband—much like the wedding ring that you offer to your pretty bride to express her marital status. Besides that, an anklet with a bell acts as a signal so that her husband recognises her by hearing her footsteps from afar. As you can see, anklets have various significances from civilisation to civilisation and from one culture to another. Factors such as colour, design, and even which foot you choose to adorn can also have other meanings. Let’s examine some of these significance. What does an anklet on the left foot mean? You may not be aware, but wearing an anklet on your left ankle suggests that you’re available, single, and ready to mingle, whereas wearing one on your right ankle sends the opposite message. If you wear the right kind of anklets, people who are curious about you can learn much more about you. For example, wearing a heart-shaped charm anklet on the left ankle communicates an interest in dating but not necessarily a serious commitment. However, tread carefully because others may misunderstand this as a desire for an open relationship after marriage. Our best-selling Constellation Heart Anklet (18K Gold and 0.30 white Diamond) is a fine example of such a piece that is sure to get noticed on your left foot. The delicate gold chain and heart motifs will add a feminine touch to your travel outfit. Another fascinating fact about wearing an anklet on your left foot is that it may suggest a woman’s interest in other women. For example, in the homosexual community, the anklet is put on the left leg, which could indeed be an ingenious way to stand out and to recognise each other at a glance and without having to talk to each other. In many societies, ankle bracelets worn on the left foot also have magical significance. People wear anklet amulets to protect themselves from harm. Left-footed anklets may also indicate marriage or engagement. What does an anklet on the right ankle mean? Some think wearing an anklet on one’s right ankle symbolises undying love and devotion to one’s partner. Hence, wearing an anklet on this foot could signal to anyone looking for a hookup that you’re content in your current relationship and not looking for new sexual partners. Contradictively, wearing jewellery on your right ankle could be a sign that you’re on the hunt for a romantic partner. Wearing an anklet on one’s right foot while married can be read as a signal of one’s openness to having sexual relations outside of their marriage. In Western culture, wearing an anklet on one’s right ankle is customary and carries a special meaning. Someone uninterested in relationships is indicated by the fact that they wear an anklet on only one foot, specifically the right one. It’s important to remember that putting it on one’s right foot also signals an intention to cheat if one is married. What does it mean to wear anklets on both ankles? Nowadays, anklets are worn on both feet. As you can deduce from the above, their significance changes from culture to culture and from civilisation to civilisation. Even in Western culture, the meaning could be contradicting. So, whatever their meaning, understand that they are, above all else, decorative items used mainly for aesthetic purposes. There is no real cultural consequence to wearing anklets on both legs. So, if you love to over-accessorise or feel even on both sides, we say go for it! Wearing anklets on both legs allows you to mix and match designs and colours to create something unique. However, if you prefer a more minimalistic look, it’s best to stick to just one. The choice is entirely yours. Related reading: Unlocking the Beauty: 10 Common Symbols in Aquae Jewels and Their Profound Meanings. How to choose the perfect gold and diamond anklets for travelling Are you thinking about which gold and diamond anklets suit you? Choosing the right ankle string size for your travels can be tricky. But do not worry; we are here to help you demystify the selection process. Here are some factors to remember before choosing your ankle bracelet: Consider durability When selecting a gold or diamond anklet for your travels, consider their durability, especially if you travel to a high-traffic location. Make sure the anklets are made of sturdy materials and can withstand the rigours of travel. If they aren’t durable, they might break easily. Consider how it makes you feel and the appearance When choosing an ankle bracelet for your travels, consider how it makes you feel and look. Does it feel comfortable when you put it on? As we know, anklets can be loose, tight, or fit, depending on one’s choice. Some people may like their anklets tight, while others prefer loose fittings. Typically, there are two main styles of ankle bracelets. Classic chains ankle bracelets Gemstone-embedded ankle bracelets Classic chains are suitable for almost all kinds of attires and outfits, while gemstone ones are more suited for formal wear. Consider the anklet size Typically, anklets are made in inches or centimetres. To choose the right size, expand your anklet on the table and measure its length with a tape measure. You can use the inches or centimetre side, depending on your convenience. Now, measure the length around your ankle using the measuring tape. Once you know your ankle length, pick the right size for yourself. Depending on the size of your anklet, if you prefer loose-fitting anklets, ensure they hang below your ankle bone. Any size looser than this can be annoying. Keep the size moderate and adjustable so you can quickly flip between tight and loose. Choosing the right anklet can make you look elegant and enhance your personality on the road. However, finding the right place to buy a gold ankle bracelet might be tricky. Nevertheless, you can trust Aquae Jewels for all your jewellery needs, including the best ankle bracelets for travel enthusiasts. Styling tips for gold and diamond anklets while travelling Planning to travel to your favourite destination? Here are some styling tips for gold and diamond anklets while travelling: 1. Keep it elegant with a subtle gold and diamond anklet There’s a common misconstruction that anklets are only for casual wear. But the truth is, many styles of classy anklets are also available for dressier occasions. For example, if your travel destination is to attend a cocktail party, a simple & elegant gold and diamond anklet such as the Hollywood Star Anklet is excellent. This dazzling 18K gold anklet adorned with sparkling diamonds is an elegant piece that captures the essence of Hollywood glamour. This timeless beauty can be dressed up or down and can easily go from day to night. The Hollywood Star Anklet is available in Yellow, White, and Rose Gold. With this gold and diamond anklet on, we suggest you skip the bracelet. Wear a classy gold ring like a dome chunky ring, and choose a pair of gold and diamond dome Earrings to complement your look. You can also swap the dome earrings for gold studs and wear a gold collar as a statement piece instead. 2. Go with a monochrome look There’s much to be said about your fashion and accessorising options regarding colourful travel outfits, but monochrome looks seem to have made a comeback in 2023/24. All-black or all-white outfits are particularly in style, but you can also opt for bright and vivid colour options. If you choose to go monochrome, ensure your shoes match your monochrome motif. Colourful heels and flats are always a safe bet. Choose anklets with thicker chains, like the Anklet Cuban Diamond Letter, for a bold look to set your outfit off. However, if you prefer a more refined look, the Mini Charm Bee Anklet is an ideal choice. 3. Keep it Sporty with a sneaker matched with gold and diamond anklet A pair of anklets and sneakers is a love story waiting to happen. So, make it happen. For this look, you can purchase a gold and diamond anklet with charms; however, we like a geometric anklet bracelet. For example, an anklet with square, pear, and marquise looks great with sneakers, crop jeans, and a printed top. Do wear a pair of oversized gold hoops and stack a couple of bangles to complete this style. You can also wear gold anklets with graphic sneakers, shorts, and a tank top to get a sassy vibe. You don’t need a ring for this style, but a delicate chain necklace is usually a good choice. 4. Add some sass with artsy gold and diamond anklets If you are travelling for a festival and don’t know what to wear? The charm gold and diamond anklet was designed for festivals. Well, that’s not entirely true, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it to your favourite music festival. Grab your favourite vintage or cropped concert tee, denim shorts, ankle boots, or Birkenstock sandals. Add some sassy and chic layered anklets to complete your unique music festival-ready aesthetic. 5. Style your gold and diamond anklet with a decorative floral charm If you visit a country during its warmer seasons, throwing on your favourite floral dress and associating with friends at a backyard or country club affair is chic. Incorporate fun and flirty wedge sandals with a floral motif to match your dress. Then, coordinate with a pastel-coloured clutch for maximum style factor. If you want to match your floral look from head to toe, add a cute anklet with a decorative floral charm. The Hanging Constellation Fairy Flower Anklet is a perfect choice. Delicate and timeless, the piece features five beautiful, precious stone-encrusted floral motifs and a white diamond-encrusted centre in each floral motif. With this ready-to-bloom style, you will surely be the prettiest flower in the garden. 6. Add a beachy chic vibe If you’re all about the sun, surf, and sand and your travel destination is an island or somewhere with many beaches, there are still ways to dress up in the most laid-back beach looks with cute anklets. For example, you could wear chunky espadrille sandals or colourful flip-flops, which would give you the perfect opportunity to elevate your style even further with quirky beach anklets. You could wear a playful Mini Charm gold and diamond Jellyfish Anklet charm or other beachy-themed anklets. Finally, throw on an oversized sun hat and your favourite pair of shades, and you’re set for a full day of soaking up the sun in style. 7. Upscale your officewear Does your work involve a lot of travelling? You can still integrate tastefully styled cute anklets. Aim for simple anklets with an understated appeal, like the radiant Diamonds Tennis Anklet. This luxurious and delicate jewellery can go well with bespoke jumpsuits and pantsuits, as long as you don’t commit the principal fashion sin of wearing an anklet with pantyhose. Ensuring the proper fit is crucial so your anklet isn’t too loose or floppy on your leg while you’re trying to conduct business. A tighter fit is also desirable for more professional styling. 8. Make it romantic with a charming gold and diamond anklet Travelling to a different city for a date night? Whether you’re going out with that special someone for the first time or are simply scheduling time for a typical meet-up to revitalise the spark with a significant other, date nights are a wonderful way to add romance to your life. They are also a fantastic occasion to dress in sexy clothes and cute anklets. Anklets can add a flirtatious vibe to your date night style, making your significant other ask for the check early. For example, a small but shimmery gold anklet such as the Verona Heart Cut Anklet will have him looking at every part of you. This versatile piece can easily fit every woman. 9. Create a cool street-style When exploring urban landscapes, wear a stylish black leather jacket you want to show off. Pair your jacket with a punk-style graphic tee and some distressed skinny jeans to personalise your look. To complement your outfit, wear gold or diamond anklets to create an edgy street style. Add textured scarves, fingerless gloves, and knit hats if you arrive during cooler seasons. Ankle-high boots or high-top sneakers can provide a grimy streetwise appeal. Choose anklets with a funky statement appeal or a custom symbol representing your style. 10. Create a statement with multiple layered gold and diamond anklets How do you create a statement look with ankle bracelets? Wear multiple anklets at once. In the same way you layer necklaces, charm bracelets, and even rings, you can also go for a layered look with anklets. Select three or four anklets with different designs and have fun styling them. A simple chain gold anklet, an ankle bracelet with gemstone beads, and a geometric anklet will look gorgeous when worn together. Other jewellery you want to wear should be minimal, and your clothes should be simple. You want the clothes to act as a canvas for the ankle bracelets. Choose flat, simple sandals or even pumps when it comes to shoes. The key is that everything you wear must be simple so the anklets can take centre stage. 11. Enhance your look with decorative allure You don’t always have to be glamorous to fulfil the fashion criteria while travelling. Nevertheless, you can still enhance your look with a decorative anklet if you have an oversized graphic top or jersey, a pair of comfy leggings, and a baseball cap. Anklets work best with low-profile footwear, such as canvas slip-ons or sporty slides. As for the anklet itself, you may want a simple one or one with an inspirational emblem or a religious charm, like a cross or moon. A beautiful example is the Arabian Nights Anklet. The piece features six radiant diamond-encrusted star motifs and a larger diamond-encrusted moon. Combined with the delicate cable chain, this piece is the perfect final touch for any travel outfit. 12. Go retro Going retro is an excellent style choice if you’re travelling for a fashion show. 1950s and ’60s outfits, in particular, are seeing a revival, as the fashion trends to see in the 2023/24 season. For this look, you’ll need classic retro-styled polka-dot clothes and some Mary Jane heels or patent leather pumps. To add to your retro aesthetic, choose a sleek, simple gold anklet with a classic design pendant or charm. You may choose one with many dangly charms or a more straightforward design based on your personal style. 13. Try the Bohemian style These days, fashion is quickly shifting gears in favour of a Bohemian vibe. This means concentrating on more laid-back, casual style components like lightweight and flowy cotton maxi dresses with tassels and fringe. The Boho style provides a diverse yet earthy feel to clothing, akin to the carefree, unconventional attitude of the ’60s and ’70s. Regarding accessories, you’ll want to opt for cute multicoloured beaded anklets and crystals. A crystal or beaded anklet will add a touch of boho-chic flair to your outfit. A fashionable example you would like is the Venice Anklet. The Anklet features tiny round cuts of different precious stones (yellow sapphire, blue sapphire, Pink sapphire from dark to light colours) on a delicate gold chain. Its colourful composition radiates vibrant elegance that helps give calm and playful sophistication. This beautiful piece is available in gold colours (Yellow, White, and Rose). For added flair, adorable ankle bracelets with tassels and several dangling charms are a fun way to connect with your modern-day inner flower child persona. 14. Go cool casual Cute anklets make the best everyday jewellery. Feel free to throw on your favourite anklets during your travels because they look good with everything, even your most casual outfit. Grab a white T-shirt, distressed cropped jeans, and a denim jacket from your closet. Put on your favourite pair of sneakers or flat wedge sandals. Then, add a decorative anklet to help complete your style. This look is effortless to pull off and, with some strategic ankle bling, can make even the most ordinary journey feel a little more magical. Takeaway: Elevate your travel style with anklets Few things can make you feel as unique as wearing your favourite piece of jewellery. It can even positively impact your confidence and self-esteem and promote mindfulness. In this piece, we discussed the anklet jewellery in detail. Its history and significance can differ from culture to culture; as we have established in this post, regardless of its history and meaning, remember that an anklet is a decorative item used mainly for aesthetic purposes. When you wear beautiful jewellery, you’ll look stunning on the outside and feel gorgeous on the inside. However, you don’t have to limit yourself to just one piece of expensive fine jewellery. Mastering the Art of Layering Gold and Diamond Necklace Chains

on Apr 19 2024
Mademoiselle Tennis Necklace Layering necklaces adds flair to outfits. It allows you to express your individual style with a finishing touch that feels dynamic and bold. You can combine long and short chains, different necklace lengths, or even mix gold and silver chains. However, mastering the art can be difficult for some. Tangled chains can be frustrating at first. But don’t quit; part of the fun is learning to work with different lengths and contrasts. In this article, we will explore the art of layering necklaces, why it’s a must-try trend, how to combine different metals, and how to create a layered style that is uniquely yours. Why should I layer necklaces? Red Carpet Tennis Necklace Let’s start by discussing the advantages of layered necklaces before reviewing a few techniques. What’s the purpose? It all comes down to personal expression, much like anything else fashion-related. To test a new style, you don’t need a valid reason. It’s enough that you try it because you want to. Learning to layer necklaces has some benefits if you’re looking for motivation to wear jewellery differently. Let’s discuss some of them: Enhances simpler styles Do you have some necklaces that you think are boring? Despite their beauty, delicacy, and cost, you feel they add nothing noteworthy to your ensemble. You probably don’t want them to be just sitting in your jewellery box, gathering dust, even though they’re simple and unsure of how to wear them. One excellent way to enhance its plainness is to layer them. A good gold chain alone might not be very fascinating, but it becomes part of a look when paired with other necklaces. The necklace gets a new function, and its plainness becomes an asset rather than a regrettable drawback. Revives old necklaces Do you own any necklaces that you’ve worn a lot? You’ve probably discovered that you’ve been wearing the same two or three necklaces in your pictures for the past ten years! You don’t have to stop wearing them. Your favourite necklaces can give you different looks, and layering them with other necklaces in your ensemble may add some flair. Whether your favourite necklace isn’t quite right for a particular occasion or you want to try something else, layering can drastically improve your appearance. Let’s you wear necklaces that you haven’t tried before Do you adore some necklaces that aren’t entirely your style but are part of your collection or online shopping cart? For example, you might want to try wearing a lengthy necklace with a large pendant, even though you’ve never been into it before. You might notice increased confidence in your new fashion choice when you wear your new necklace with your old, well-worn necklaces. How many necklaces should I layer? Ultimately, this is a matter of preference, but two or three necklaces are good, simple choices. With any layered design, we recommend adhering to the rule of odd numbers outside of two. This establishes symmetry and balance, making your layered design feel balanced and well-proportioned. How many necklaces you layer is entirely up to you, as long as they stay put and are comfortable to wear. Can I layer necklaces with different metals? Burlington Necklace Mixing metals is still considered a major fashion mistake by some individuals. That said, there’s no reason you shouldn’t stack a silver necklace with a gold necklace—or any other metal—because mixing metals can be done effectively. You can combine metals in many ways. For a balanced effect, you may “sandwich” one kind of metal as the centre layer between two necklaces made of various metals. You can wear a variety of metal hues, such as rose gold, copper, and yellow gold. You could also randomly combine different metals. However, to keep the look coherent, stick to the theme, even with the varied metals. Don’t let outdated “guidelines” of fashion dictate how you accessorise with jewellery. How to layer gold and diamond necklace chains Cassandra Necklace You can easily stack and arrange your necklaces if you follow these guidelines: Select your outfit Which necklace types and lengths you layer will depend on your clothing. Choker necklaces, for instance, look bad on high necklines. Longer chain necklaces would look fantastic, but a stunning collection of diamond tennis necklaces would be too much for a casual tank top and shorts outfit. Shorter necklaces will attract attention upward on a low-cut top, while longer necklaces may hang awkwardly at the nape of the neck. Once selected, you may quickly choose the appropriate necklace lengths and styles to match your outfit. Build around a top necklace If you’re not sure where to start, the best place is with an emotional connection. Your foundation piece should be one of your favourite items or a piece of particular importance. After that, you’ll search for more components to complement your foundation. Your base should be the shortest necklace. Then, pile the other necklaces around this necklace, which is usually the main attraction. Determine chain lengths Every necklace should have a distinct length. You can choose any size, but leave at least 2 inches between different necklace types, especially if the metals are contrasting. This will prevent tangles and friction between your necklaces. Experiment with spacing to achieve an aesthetically beautiful design with a cascading effect. For the top necklaces, you can go for tighter spacing or even spacing, allowing the longer necklaces to dangle dramatically. Try many looks until you find one that suits you well and that you love. There are a few common lengths for necklaces, so while you’re buying, search for these specifications. The most typical lengths for necklaces are: 14″ —Sits high on the neck but fits less snugly than a choker. 16″ —Rests comfortably around the neck. 18″ —Positions midway between the ribs and torso. 20″—Hangs down a little bit, but not nearly to the chest. 24″—Sits directly atop the chest. 30″ —Hangs substantially lower, resting somewhat beneath the chest. 33″—is one of the longest necklaces; it falls slightly over the navel. Select a dominant metal or blend several metals There are two schools of thought regarding the combination of layered jewellery metals. Some opt to create all their stacked pieces in a single metal tone, and some combine multiple metals. Therefore, you may choose to layer simply white gold necklaces, or you could choose to layer rose gold, white gold, and yellow gold pieces together. Mix and match Don’t be afraid to use your imagination to combine various metals, chain kinds, and necklace styles. It can take trial and error to figure out what goes together, so keep trying until you achieve your desired look. When you learn to style stacked necklaces, consider mixing and matching different kinds. These might be bigger chains or delicate, thin chain necklaces. Once more, there are no hard and fast rules for creating layers; you can use all of the same type or mix and match different sorts. Harmonise the textures Textures can be combined and mixed, much like metals. Seek chains with various textures, such as thick or delicate links. Necklaces with braids, cables, herringbone, mesh, and beads can be elegantly combined. Experiment with colour and gemstones Wearing a bold necklace with a burst of colour or texture is another way to give your ensemble extra flair. You can use precious stones, pendants, or various forms and materials. A good general rule of thumb for layering these necklaces is to choose one striking item, such as a pearl, and combine it with more muted ones. Use a detangler to avoid tangles If you intend to wear more than one chain at once, necklace detanglers are something to consider. This compact, useful gadget consists of two independent parts that join together. You can fasten your necklace to one side’s rings while the other has a clasp that attaches to the other end of your necklace. You can wear several necklaces with necklace detanglers and eliminate annoying knots and tangles. Takeaway: Layer your necklaces with Aquae Jewels pieces So what do you think? Enchanting Elegance: Selecting the Perfect Gold and Diamond Stackable Rings for Whimsical Charm

on Apr 19 2024
Rings are a fashion staple that comprise multiple designs that add an elegant touch to any outfit. They are a must-have accessory for both casual and formal occasions. One of the hottest trends for wearing rings today is stacking them, which allows for unlimited combinations. Stackable rings mainly consist of dainty bands characterised by simple designs highlighting the centre stone, if any. You can combine stackable rings to reflect your taste and style. They can be made from various materials, including white, yellow, and rose gold. Diamond gemstones are also a popular selection in stackable rings. Gold and diamond rings have a touch of class suitable for women who love to express their luxurious styles to the world. You can also mix and match gemstone or band colours for a more unique look. This post will discuss stackable rings and provide tips on selecting the perfect gold and diamond stackable rings and stacking them properly. Understanding ring stack Ring stacking is wearing multiple rings at a time to suit your individual tastes. It is a form of art that allows you to mix numerous colours, designs, and materials. You can achieve a minimalistic approach with a few sleek rings or combine those with multiple layers and textures for a more eclectic style. Most people use ring stacks to convey a message. Every ring represents a different story or occasion in one’s life while catering to one’s individual personality. Can I mix different metals when stacking rings? No rule states that you should wear jewellery made from the same metal. However, there’s a misleading myth that makes people think that wearing rings made of the same material may not be accepted in the fashion world. You can mix rose, white, and yellow gold at the same time. Your rings may also include multiple-coloured diamond gemstones. The key is to know how to mix and match to make a bold fashion statement. Mixing different metals and gemstones is an excellent way to add texture and playfulness to your overall look. You may also like: Does 18k Gold Fade? (Everything you need to know). What ring style works best in a stack? Gold and diamond eternity rings are perfect for the most unique and stylish ring stacks. They are durable yet beautiful and often have a deep, special meaning to the wearer. The diamond gemstones help introduce a splash of shimmery colour to the stack. Eternity rings mainly symbolise love and commitment between couples. They are ideal for engagement and wedding sets but also make an excellent choice for your daily wear ring stack. Our Eternity Ring Heart band can make an excellent choice for your stack. It is made of pure gold and has several heart-shaped diamonds, totalling 3.20 carats. Is there a finger that is best for stacking rings? A ring stack always looks excellent on the middle or pointer finger. You can stack a few rings at the base and others above your knuckles. However, there’s no rule about which fingers to wear and not to wear ring stacks. One of the best things about ring stacking is versatility, which allows you to achieve a unique look every time through various combinations on different fingers. Ring stacking has gone beyond the traditional ring finger. It has increased the popularity of pinkie rings for the pinkie finger and midi rings worn between the first and second knuckles. Thanks to social media platforms, fashion influencers have played a significant role in popularising this trend. They showcase their creativity by experimenting with stunning ring combinations to inspire their audiences. Does stacking make rings tighter? The more rings you stack, the tighter they feel. Therefore, you need to know your ring size and only wear those that are comfortable together. Stacked rings are of different sizes since you wear them on different fingers or parts of the fingers. Most stacked ring lovers play around with rings on different fingers to get the feel of each. This is the most effective way of determining which finger to stack rings on. Can stacking rings cause damage to them? Stacking gold and diamond rings does not damage them, provided you do it correctly. Despite our suggestion to mix and match them, we recommend maintaining the same karat or gold content. This way, your rings won’t rub on each other. For instance, stacking a 14k and 18k gold ring such that they come into contact may damage the 18k gold ring, which is softer. How to select the perfect gold and diamond stackable rings Since there are no rules for ring stacking, there can be no right or wrong when selecting your collection. You can stack all your favourite pieces and still end up with a unique design that complements your outfit. Here, we’ll discuss some of the factors to consider when selecting your gold and diamond ring stack: Choose ring bands that match your skin tone People with cool skin tones will likely have dark brown, blonde, or black hair. Their skin tends to have blue veins, which blend well with white gold, the go-to choice for most engagement rings. Cool skin tones also go well with red, purple, and blue ring bands. If you have a warm skin tone, your veins are greener and match best with yellow gold. The most popular gold colours are red, yellow, and white, but you can also get custom-made rings in numerous colours, including green, purple, black, and blue. Gemstones are a beautiful and colourful consideration Your stackable rings can be plain gold, but a colourful diamond gemstone can further elevate your look. Colourless diamonds are the rarest and, therefore, the most expensive. Most gemstone lovers with a tight budget often go for a nearly colourless stone. This allows them to make the most of their budget and allocate more on a cut with more sparkle. Adding a vibrant coloured diamond to your ring stack makes it eye-catching. However, you should ensure the hues complement each other for a consistent and harmonious look. The Colored Stone Bijorca Ring can be an excellent addition to any woman’s jewellery collection. It features green gemstones that are more eye-catching when stacked with less colourful rings. Pay attention to size A stackable ring can differ from a regular wedding or engagement ring or be part of the stack. The diameter size differs significantly, as there are no rules about wearing stackable rings, and you can put them on any finger. The best way to measure a stackable ring’s diameter is to measure the exact finger you intend to put it on. You can also play around with it to find which fingers it may fit best. Apart from the diameter, you must also consider how big the ring is for your fingers. If you have long fingers, you should opt for thinner, more delicate designs that give you a proportional look. If you are lucky to have long, slender fingers, consider wider bands. But remember that the wider the band, the more space you’ll need to allocate your fingers for flexibility. Wider bands, when stacked together, can also feel tighter. You may need to order a 1/4 to 1/2 size bigger to allow easy finger movement. How to stack rings appropriately You can stack rings for a bold, unique, simple, and understated style. Depending on what you wear and how you wear it, you can also achieve a vintage or modern design. Let us discuss some tips to help you stack rings appropriately to achieve your desired look: Leave at least one finger bare While you may be tempted to fill your fingers with your entire gold and diamond ring collection, leaving at least one finger bare is recommended. This allows the individual rings and the stack to shine harmoniously. Leaving a few fingers bare also prevents your fingers from being overwhelmed with jewellery. You can limit the stack to three or four fingers and experiment with multiple combinations. You should also limit the number of rings on one finger. A good example is a maximum of two rings above the knuckle. Avoid wearing them on side-by-side fingers to minimise wear and tear from rubbing against each other. Don’t ignore your pinkies and thumbs Wearing rings on your pinkies and thumbs is not something new. This style has had its moments in history, and some people still keep up with this trend. Remember that your fingers’ size changes throughout the day, depending on temperature and hydration. A ring can comfortably fit your thumb during winter but may be too tight to wear during summer. Mix different metals The top jewellery in today’s market is available in multiple shapes and of different quality. If you mix different metals, for example, 10-karat gold and 18-karat gold, you should disperse them evenly. One of the most inappropriate ways to stack rings is having one hand with a specific metal and another with a different metal. Distributing the metals across both hands gives you a more sophisticated look. Read also: Can You Wear 18K Gold Every Day?
